Pricing questions
- What counts as an article?
- One AI-drafted article of ~1,500-3,000 words, including TL;DR block, FAQ section, JSON-LD schema, and a rendered outline. Regenerating the same topic on Solo counts as one; on Scale + Enterprise, regenerations don't count against your allotment.
- Do I need my own OpenAI / DataForSEO / Tavily keys?
- No. All AI + rank + citation-tracking API costs are included in your subscription. You're billed one flat monthly amount and we absorb the underlying model costs.
- Does CiteClip publish articles automatically to my site?
- Only when you click Publish. Every drafted article lands in your CiteClip dashboard for review first. From there, one click pushes it to WordPress via our plugin as a Draft post — you still review and hit Publish in WordPress. No auto-publish, ever.
- What if I don't use WordPress?
- The article body ships as MDX/markdown you can copy into any CMS. On Scale + Enterprise, the API endpoint returns rendered HTML + schema JSON-LD you can POST to your own publishing pipeline (Next.js, Astro, Hugo, Ghost, etc.).
- How does the free trial work?
- 14 days full access to your chosen tier. No credit card required to start. If you don't upgrade by day 14, your workspace drops to a read-only state — your data stays available for 60 days in case you come back.
- Can I switch tiers or cancel anytime?
- Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades at the end of your current billing period. Cancellation ends the subscription at the end of the current period — no clawback of unused article credits.
- How is CiteClip different from Jasper, SurferSEO, or Marketmuse?
- Those tools optimise on-page SEO of content you already know you want to write.
